UltraDNS provides a feature that allows you to generate Advanced Client IP reports by passing a list of zones, up to a maximum of 250 zones at a time, instead of selecting one zone individually.
When to Use This Article
- You need to generate an Advanced Client IP report for multiple zones.
- You want to filter reports using a bulk zone list.
- You are reviewing DNS query activity by source IP.
How to Create an IP Source Report
- Navigate to the Advanced Client IP report under the Reports section.
- Open the zone filter window.
- Click on the Edit button.
- This will open a text area where each zone can be added on a separate line, with a maximum of 250 zones.
- You will have to repeat this process for every 250 zones.
- Once the zones are added, click the Apply button to retrieve the report.
Additional Information
- These reports are provided in self-serve mode.
- Data retention is limited to 90 days. Data older than 90 days from the current date cannot be retrieved.
Verification
After clicking Apply, confirm that the report populates with data for the selected zones. If expected data is missing, verify that the zones were entered correctly and that the requested time range falls within the 90-day retention window.
