This article explains how to view hostname query volume by day using the Query Analytics report in UltraDNS.
Overview
The Query Analytics report provides zone-level query volume and a drill-down Host Report for hostname-level query volume.
Query Analytics data is not real-time.
The report shows completed historical query data and does not include query data for the current day.
When to Use This Article
- You need to view query volume for hostnames within a zone.
- You need to identify the highest queried hostnames for a selected date.
- You need to drill down from zone-level query volume to hostname-level query volume.
Before You Begin
- You must have access to the UltraDNS account that contains the zone.
- The zone must appear in the Query Analytics report.
- The Host Report button is only available after at least one zone is selected.
Steps
- Log in to UltraDNS.
- Click Reports.
- Select Query Analytics.
- In the Date Range field, select the calendar icon.
- Select the date you want to report on.
- Select the same date again to create a one-day date range.
- Click Apply.
- In the zone results table, select the checkbox next to the zone you want to review.
- Click Host Report.
- Use the Host Name field to search for a specific hostname, or review the table to see hostname query volume.
Expected Outcome
The Host Query Volume Report opens for the selected zone.
The report displays hostname-level query volume, including the highest queried hostnames for the selected date range.
Important Notes
- The current day cannot be selected for this report.
- The Host Report button remains unavailable until a zone is selected.
- The Host Query Volume Report can be filtered by Date Range, Host Name, and Zone Name.
- The report can be exported as a
.csvfile.
