Error: "Resource Record with these attributes already exists. Cannot add Web Forward for this URL." when Creating Web Forwarding Record in UI

If the UI returned following error message when creating web forwarding record, "Resource Record with these attributes already exists. Cannot add Web Forward for this URL." However, no existing web forwarding record with same URL values. This error is caused by the existence of an A Record in the domain with same hostname as defined within URL of Requests To field of web forwarding record you attempted to create.

Steps to Resolution:

1. Delete A Record with <host> value identical to hostname in Requests To URL of web forwarding record
   1. Select A Record's checkbox to left of Edit button
   2. Click DELETE SELECTED in A Records section
   3. Click DELETE on Delete Selected window
2. Create the URL/Web Forwarding record

Additional Information

• You must delete this A Record before creating the web forwarding record because the system will create an A Record with the Requests To hostname pointing to our redirect server IP (204.74.99.100) when you create the web forwarding record
• This A Record functions to send the query to our redirect server that houses the actual web forwarding redirect record
• You can only delete this A Record by deleting the corresponding web forwarding record.
