You have 2 options using an existing zone export file, or CSV of records.
Since uploading a CSV directly will give errors if not formatted right, you can copy/paste records.
Upload A File
- Log into UltraDNS
- Click Domains on the left side
- Click the Add Domain button
- Enter your <Domain Name> in text box under Domain Name
- Click Primary from Type drop-down menu
- Click Load a Domain File under Record Import
- Use Choose File button to upload a .txt zone file or paste Zone File Contents into the below text box
- Click SAVE button
Copy/Paste Records
- Below the Choose File, you'll see the big OR in the middle of the screen
- There's two fields: the first field says Enter Bind Text Into Text Field and the other is Change Comment (use this only if you need to document your change request - optional)
- Copy the records then paste into the Enter Bind Text Into Text Field.
- After paste, you'll see the start of another row that's empty so press backspace. You can't have any empty spaces or additional spaces.
- Press Save and then refresh the screen.
Additional Information
Zone files must be in BIND format to be uploaded to UltraDNS. Please refer to the attached 'sample_template.txt'.
Troubleshooting (if the Pending Tasks in UltraDNS portal shows errors):
- Enter hostnames without a trailing dot at the end
- Make sure there are no additional spaces after each line and if there are, use the delete or backspace to remove the space then press enter for a carriage return for the next line
