Delegation for your forward DNS and reverse DNS is maintained separately. By default, your forward DNS is handled by your domain registrar unless you update the authoritative name servers to another DNS provider. This does not affect reverse DNS though. Reverse DNS starts with an IP address and not a hostname and by default is managed by an ISP or organization that you obtained your IP address from.
