Symptom
Receives "Error: Could not complete sign zone request. The zone does not have DNS Security Extensions enabled " after attempting to a sign a zone for DNSSEC.
Root Cause
DNSSEC configuration permissions not enabled at account level for customer
Steps to Resolution
- Customer contacts customer support and provides error message
- Customer Supports enables DNSSEC flag on customer account
- Customer signs zone using steps in Enable DNSSEC on Domain

Insight into Step 2: Customer Support activating DNSSEC on an account does not sign any zones. It simply gives the customer the ability to sign zones using the JavaUI (https://portal.ultradns.com/) or REST API (https://restapi.ultradns.com).
