Manual Failback Capability
CompletedI think it would be helpful to have a manual failback option for SiteBacker/Traffic Controller record pools. Today on UltraDNS, when a primary record fails the secondary record is served. When the primary recovers, the system will failback from the secondary to the primary automatically. What I'm proposing is when the primary fails, it automatically fails over to the secondary, but when the primary recovers, instead of failing back automatically, the user would need to login to the portal and would see an action button for the pool that would say “failback” or “recover”. The below screenshot is from the records UI and shows the pool type (Sitebacker), the status (exclamation mark), and the TTL value. Perhaps when a pool is configured for manual failback the status could be (or include) a “recover” button:

There would probably also need to be a status banner or notice at the top of a domain config page to indicate that a Traffic Management pool has failed over and can now be recovered (because primary records are active again).
