This article explains how to add NS (nameserver) records in UltraDNS using the domain configuration interface.
How to Add an NS Record
- Log in to UltraDNS.
- Click Domains.
- Select the domain where you want to add the NS record.
- Scroll to the NS (Nameserver) section.
- Click +Add Record.
- In Zone Delegation, enter the subdomain for which the NS record is authoritative.
- In Name Server, enter the fully qualified domain name of the nameserver.
- In TTL, enter the time to live in seconds.
- If adding multiple NS records for the same subdomain, click Save And Add Another.
- If adding only one NS record, click Save.
Important Notes
- The Zone Delegation field defines the subdomain the NS record applies to.
- The Name Server value must be a fully qualified domain name.
- TTL is measured in seconds and controls how long the record may be cached.
