How to Add NS (Nameserver) Records in UltraDNS

This article explains how to add NS (nameserver) records in UltraDNS using the domain configuration interface.

How to Add an NS Record

1. Log in to UltraDNS.
2. Click Domains.
3. Select the domain where you want to add the NS record.
4. Scroll to the NS (Nameserver) section.
5. Click +Add Record.
6. In Zone Delegation, enter the subdomain for which the NS record is authoritative.
7. In Name Server, enter the fully qualified domain name of the nameserver.
8. In TTL, enter the time to live in seconds.
9. If adding multiple NS records for the same subdomain, click Save And Add Another.
10. If adding only one NS record, click Save.

Important Notes

• The Zone Delegation field defines the subdomain the NS record applies to.
• The Name Server value must be a fully qualified domain name.
• TTL is measured in seconds and controls how long the record may be cached.
